RUBY ADAMS

ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Ruby M. "Granny" Adams, 94, of Alto Pass died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at City Care Center in Cobden, Ill.

She was born Jan. 24, 1907, in Jackson County to Otto and Bertha Woods McCann. She married Charles Edgar Adams on Feb. 5, 1927, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died in 1953.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and a lifelong resident of Southern Illinois.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Adams of Alto Pass; a son, Charles Eugene Adams of Millstadt, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation in from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bobby Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Alto Pass Cemetery.
