JACKSON -- Ruby A. Caldwell, 93, of Jackson died Saturday, Sept. 21, 1996 at the Masonic Home in St. Louis. She was born Aug. 6, 1903, at Millersville, daughter of T.O. Niswonger and Radia Niswonger. She married Frank V. Caldwell at Jackson on Jan. 21, 1933. He died Feb. 29, 1988...

JACKSON -- Ruby A. Caldwell, 93, of Jackson died Saturday, Sept. 21, 1996 at the Masonic Home in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 6, 1903, at Millersville, daughter of T.O. Niswonger and Radia Niswonger.

She married Frank V. Caldwell at Jackson on Jan. 21, 1933. He died Feb. 29, 1988.

Caldwell and her husband operated a turkey farm north of Jackson, retiring in 1976. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and was a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She had been Sunday School for secretary several years.

She was also active in the Neely's Mission, and was a co-chairperson of the Horticulture display at the SEMO District Fair.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Survivors include a sister, Opal Tallent of Jackson; three brothers, Jesse Niswonger of Jackson, Glenn Niswonger of Foley, Ala., and Woodrow Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. Bill Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
