RUBIE M. MORRILL

SCOTT CITY -- Rubie Mae Morrill, 80, Scott City Route 2, died Tuesday, May 5, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 23, 1912, at Illmo, daughter of Rome Calvin and Cynthia Bommer Pate. She married Benjamin Joseph Leist Aug. 19, 1927. He died May 6, 1968. She later married Russell Emerick Morrill Aug. 30, 1979.

Morrill attended the Assembly of God Church here.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Glenn Leist of Gravois Mills, Charles Leist of Florida, Paul Leist of Arnold; three daughters, Wilma Gruenke of Patton, Dorothy Devine and Doris Hartnett of St. Louis; a stepson, Elmer Morrill of Hartford, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Chris Simmons of Marion, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Stanley of East Prairie; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Larie Burdine will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
