EAST PRAIRIE -- Roy S. Piper, 82, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, May 17, 1994, at his home.
He was born Sept. 22, 1911, in Owensboro, Ky., son of Wylie and Amanda Biggers Piper. He and the former Mary L. Ivie were married Oct. 26, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.
Piper was a retired sawmill worker.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Piper of Batesville, Ark.; a daughter, Edna Rigdon of Marion, Ky.; 16 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with Raymond Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
