DELTA -- Roy R. Dooley, 80, of Delta died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 8, 1920, at Micola, son of Roy C. and Lucy M. Holdman Dooley. He and Pat L. Hector were married Aug. 18, 1950.

Dooley was a member of the First Baptist Church at Delta and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Dr. Roy L. Dooley of Dexter; two brothers, Earl Dooley of Chaffee and Ted Dooley of Randles; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Jon and David Dooley, all of Cape Girardeau, Mike Dooley of St. Peters, Steve Dooley of Van Buren, Ark., Lacey Dooley of St. Louis and Willie and Amanda Dooley, both of Dexter; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Dooley Sr., four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Eric Hodges officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Pete, Ed and Troy Dooley, David White, Jim Below and Larry Glueck. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
