Roy Harold Collins, 70, of 3501 Hopper Road in Cape passed away Saturday, April 16, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center. He was born on April 26, 1923 in Cape. His father is Samuel Collins. His mother is Mary Elizabeth Wolters Collins. Collins was a graduate of University High School in 1940.

He worked on the family's dairy farm his entire life. Due to ill health, Collins stopped farming in 1983. He was active in the Parish Four Missouri Jersey Cattle Club and a member of the American Jersey Cattle Club. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surivors include two sisters, Opal and Irene Collins. Both live in Cape.

One brother, Walter Collins of Cape, also survives along with one neice. Collins is preceeded in death by two brothers. Funeral serivces will be held Tuesday April 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Ford & Sons' Mt. Auburn Chapel with Rev. Harold Henderson presiding. Burial will be at Lorimar Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
