MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Roy Edward Gobie of Marble Hill will be held at 10 a.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. John Ferguson will officiate, with burial in Leslie Cemetery near Gravel Hill.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to service time.

Gobie, 69, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 1994, at Mineral Area Regional Hospital in Farmington.

He was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Hurley, Wis., son of Edward and Anna Josafina Nurminan Gobie.

Gobie had been an anesthesi-ologist at Northwest Hospital in Chicago, Ill. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his mother of Minneapolis, Minn.
