JACKSON, Mo. -- Roy Lee Davenport, 86, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 31, 1914, at Millersville, Mo., son of Benjamin Franklin and Jeffie Arizona Davis Davenport.
Davenport had been a farmer, livestock trader and real estate broker. He had made his home with a niece, Loyce Flannery and husband Bob, the past 20 years.
Survivors include a brother, Ray Davenport; a sister, Grace Proffer; several nieces and nephews including Joyce Proffer and Loyce Flannery, all of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Troy; and two sisters, Hazel and Jewel.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Stroderville Cemetery at Whitewater, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
