Roy Dale Stanley, 64, 2212 Sherwood, died Thursday, July 29, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Lawrence, Kan., son of Roy O. and Anna M. Otto Stanley. Roy Dale Stanley, 64, 2212 Sherwood, died Thursday, July 29, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Lawrence, Kan., son of Roy O. and Anna M. Otto Stanley. He and Donna Arndt were married March 6, 1953, in Wichita, Kan.

Stanley was in radio and television broadcasting 48 years. He had been involved with radio stations KAKE and KWBB in Wichita, Mission Broadcasters in Kansas City, was program manager of WIBW TV and Radio in Topeka, Kan., was a station manager in Mission, Kan., and owned and operated KCLU AM&FM Radio in Rolla from 1961-75.

He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1975, and for the past 18 years he had worked for American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. He was currently the midwest station relations representative with ASCAP.

He was a member of Pioneer Broadcasting Association. He had been a ham radio operator since he was 14 years old, and was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julia Kridelbaugh of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Anna Gross of Peabody, Kan.; three half brothers, Robert Bullock of Peabody, Lee Bullock of Keane, Texas, Ronnie Bullock of Florida; two half sisters, Barbara Mayer of Gypsum, Kan., Jean Harms of Newburg, Kan., and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
