ROY BOYET

GIDEON -- Funeral service for Roy Boyet of Gideon was held Monday at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. The Rev. Cleo Payne officiated, with burial in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.

Boyet, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at Twin Rivers Hospital in Kennett.

He was born April 1, 1913, at Hiram, son of Edward and Elizabeth Craig Boyet. He and Illine Rhine were married July 7, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Boyet retired as a rip saw operator from Gideon-Anderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Rhine of Malden, Jack Boyet of Brunswick, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley Cossey of Gideon; two sisters, Ethel Boyet of Gideon, Virginia Beatty of Jackson; two brothers, Otto Boyet of Sullivan, Edward Boyet of House Springs; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.
