ANNA -- Roy Boyd Belcher, 75, of Anna died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, at his home. He was born Oct. 14, 1920 in Wolf Lake, Ill., son of the late Wiliam Roy and Mamie Dora Boyce Belcher. ANNA -- Roy Boyd Belcher, 75, of Anna died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1920 in Wolf Lake, Ill., son of the late Wiliam Roy and Mamie Dora Boyce Belcher.

He was a member of the Anna United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge #520 AF & AM, and a member of the Ainad Shrine Temple. He was a retired educator and had taught in the Shawnee School District and held administrative positions in the Thebes, Sparta, Zeigler-Royalton, Bement and Lick Creek school districts.

He married Marilyn Davis, who survives, on Dec. 26, 1946, at New Bedford, Mass.

Also surviving are three sons: Terry Belcher of Rehoboth, Mass., Kevin Belcher of Anna and Brian Belcher of Steeleville, Ill.; three brothers: Willis, Harry and Carroll Belcher, all of Anna; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Reid.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Rich Sullins officiating. Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
