Roy Bollinger
Roy L. Bollinger, 82, of Blodgett, Mo., died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Bollinger was born March 21, 1925, in Scopus, Mo., son of Bernie and Elsie Crader Bollinger. He married Christine Stowers Jan. 13, 1948, in Blytheville, Ark.
Bollinger was a self-employed farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Kenneth (Cindy) Bollinger of Benton, Mo., David Bollinger of Blodgett, Michael (Vickie) Bollinger of Fenton, Mo.; three daughters, Janet (Andy) Dirnberger of Benton, Peggy (Larry) Francis of Smyrna, Tenn., Sandy (Larry) Ulmer of Troy, Tenn.; two brothers Ray (Leona) Bollinger of Alton, Ill., Clyde (Margaret) Bollinger of Festus, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Lou (Robert) Latham of Florissant, Mo., Rosalie Bollinger of Benton; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett in Benton.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Dennis Lowe and Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery with full military graveside rites by the Missouri Honors Team.
