CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Roy F. Bell, 91, of Chaffee died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 14, 1913, at Chaffee, son of William Franklin and Nora Florence Redfern Bell. He and Mildred Dennis were married Sept. 26, 1937...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Roy F. Bell, 91, of Chaffee died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 14, 1913, at Chaffee, son of William Franklin and Nora Florence Redfern Bell. He and Mildred Dennis were married Sept. 26, 1937.

Bell retired as a line foreman with Missouri Utilities in Chaffee. He was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93 in Cape Girardeau, York Rite Chapter, Council Commandery in Cape Girardeau, Scottish Rite in St. Louis, and Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810.

He was a charter member of IBEW Local 702 in West Frankfort, Ill., former member of Chaffee City Council, served five years as vice president of Chaffee School Board, and was past president of Chaffee Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Lou Spalding of Mission Hills, Kan., Sharon Bell of Chaffee; a brother, Russell Bell of Cape Girardeau; and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Cliff Day and Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
