SIKESTON, Mo. -- Roxie M. Emerson Stone, 60, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born July 8, 1942, in Morley, Mo., daughter of John Mac and Ossie Mae Pratt Emerson. She had been a waitress at Ramada Inn in Sikeston and was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Roxie M. Emerson Stone, 60, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 8, 1942, in Morley, Mo., daughter of John Mac and Ossie Mae Pratt Emerson.

She had been a waitress at Ramada Inn in Sikeston and was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Mike and Jerry Stone of Sikeston; a daughter, Sherry Montgomery of Oran, Mo.; three brothers, Jerry Mac Emerson of Sikeston, Edward Emerson of Bilox, Miss., and J. Mason Emerson of Sedalia, Mo.; three sisters, Shirley Stidham of Sikeston, Melba Hicks of Morley and Lane Huey of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in New Morley Cemetery.
