Roxie Anderson, 85, of Sikeston died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at the Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Ripley County, Tenn., daughter of John and Bertha Alice Harris Wison.
Anderson had lived in Missouri for more than 50 years and was a member of Greer's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.
She is survived by a sister, Lossie Williford of Sikeston; five nieces, Bertha Williford of Sikeston who was a guardian, Gladys Andrews of St. Louis, Ann Alexander of St. Louis, Naomi Topps of St. Louis and Marie Rhodes of Baldwin Park, Calif.; a nephew, James Williford Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greer's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Roy Bonner officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Arrangements are being handled by the Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston.
