SIKESTON -- Service for Ross Harlan Abernathy will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with Johnny Hester officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m..

Abernathy, 71, of Sikeston, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include a son, Stanley Abernathy of Sikeston; daughters, Linda Woodard of Brandon, Fla., Jill Fetters of Sikeston and Phyllis Reeves of Wickliffe, Ky.; a brother, Robert Abernathy, East Prairie; a sister, Erlene Hanson, East Prairie; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
