JACKSON -- Rosine S. Sandvoss, 101, of Jackson died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 27, 1896, in Kurreville, daughter of Louis and Wilhelmine Haupt Schmidt. She married Henry R. Sandvoss on Sept. 28, 1921, in Gordonville. He died April 25, 1985.
She had worked at the International Shoe factory for many years and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
She is survived by two sons, George Sandvoss of Arnold and Robert Sandvoss of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Mildred Hartle and Minnie Compas, both of Cape Girardeau, and Alleen Boswell of St. Louis; two sisters, Minnie Bush of Jackson and Emma Bodenstein of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Russell Heights.
