WILSON CITY -- Funeral service for Rosie Horton of Wilson City will be held at 1 p.m. today at Sparks Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. T.R. Tyus will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to service time.

Horton, 80, died Monday, March 8, 1993, at Charleston Manor.

She was born April 4, 1904, in Walls, Miss., daughter of Alex and Margaret Bird Banks.

Horton had lived in Mississippi County since 1934. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and served on the Usher Board and Mother's Board.

Survivors include a stepdaughter and three stepgrandchildren.
