CHARLESTON -- Rosie Banks, 83, of Charleston, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Dec. 11, 1910, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Bob and Martha Jefferson Johnson. She married Beslue Banks, who preceded her in death.
Banks was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, and former church secretary, director of senior choir, and secretary of missions.
Survivors include a son, Julius Banks of St. Louis; a daughter, Revive Allen of Charleston; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Church. The Rev. Wiley Reed will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from noon to service time Wednesday.
