Rosemary Whittard, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at her home. She was born May 21, 1929, at Kinder, Mo., daughter of Cecil and Dinah Walker Owens. She and Thomas Whittard were married Nov. 12, 1965, in Beaufort, S.C. Whittard was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, and was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Rosemary Whittard, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at her home. She was born May 21, 1929, at Kinder, Mo., daughter of Cecil and Dinah Walker Owens. She and Thomas Whittard were married Nov. 12, 1965, in Beaufort, S.C.

Whittard was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, and was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Marine Corps Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gary Frey of Memphis, Tenn., Joe Frey of Cape Girardeau, Thomas Frey of Jackson; two daughters, Susan McHaney of Memphis, Juanita Nale of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Charlotte Abernathy of Sedgewickville, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The Marine Corps Auxiliary will have a service at 7.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
