MOUNDS, Ill. -- Rosemary B. Varner, 81, of Springfield died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born May 2, 1918, in Cairo, daughter of Hollie and Clara Perks Bonner. She married Burgess Varner, who died Jan. 30, 1998.

Varner was a member of Clementine Memorial Presbyterian Church, and the postal auxiliary. She was formerly of Mounds.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Hendricks of Edwardsville, Kay Bagby of Marion; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rosehill Cemetery in Pulaski. The Rev. Walter Weaver will officiate.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds is in charge of local arrangements.
