Rosemary Craig Logan, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 11, 1928, in Illmo to John J. and Mattie M. Morrow Craig.

Rosemary graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University and graduated from Missouri University with a bachelor's degree in French. She was a member of the French National Honor Society and Alpha Phi Sorority.

She couldn't enter medical school because of illness and joined her father in his real estate business.

She and James W. Logan were married in 1951 in Cape Girardeau. Together they were owners and operators of Logan's Nursery and Landscaping from 1960 to 1974. Rosemary and Jim started plans with others to renew the famous May Greene Garden. She started her third career as a travel agent with Perry Travel, managed Gulliver's Travel, helped start Destinations Unlimited and retired in 1994.

Rosemary was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Southeast Health Auxiliary, the first Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Logan of the home. Several cousins and close friends also mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Craig Logan, in 2006.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel and from 1 p.m. until time of service today at First Presbyterian Church of Cape Girardeau.

The funeral be at 2 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Bill Vincent officiating.

Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church, the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
