Rosemary Caldwell
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rosemary Sue Smith Caldwell, 78, of Savannah, Ga., passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.
Sue was born in Marble Hill, and graduated from Woodland High School. She married Bobby Lee Caldwell of Lutesville on July 9, 1949. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Anne Tallent of Omaha, Neb., Robin Leigh Lewis of Savannah; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Derrick Tallent and John Stephen Lewis, five grandchildren, Gregory Derrick Tallent of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Casey Nicole Tallent of Omaha, Ashlea Franques of Gering, Neb.; a granddaughter-in-law, Lindsey Tallent; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Derrick Tallent and Paige Elizabeth Tallent; a sister and brother-in law. June and Dennye Wall of Fruitland; and a brother, James Louis Smith of Collinsville, Ill.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by sisters Ann Smith Haha and Shirley Smith Garner.
A memorial service was held Sunday at Isle of Hope Methodist Church in Savannah.
A memorial service will be held in December at Marble Hill United Methodist Church.
Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
