Rosemary Axelson, 86, of Cairo, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Life Care Center in LaCenter, Ky. She was born on Jan. 28, 1921, the daughter of Peter J. and Rose C. Donovan Dowd.
She was a retired beautician and a member of St. Patrick's Church in Cairo.
Survivors include three daughters, Janice Osgood of Cairo, Susan Finley of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Barbara Burnett of Murphysboro, Ill.; two sons, Rodney Clancy of Luling, Iowa, and Carl Axelson of Belleville, Ill.; two sisters, Helen Ebbert of Paducah, Ky., and Mary Eileen Edwards of St. Louis; a brother, Robert Dowd of Galesburg, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
There is no visitation.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Church, with the Rev. John Agbasiere officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
