PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Rosella Theresa Kutz, 95, of Perryville died after a brief illness on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.
She was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Apple Creek, Missouri, daughter of Joseph Leo and Hermina Helena (Wingerter) Schnurbusch. She and Flavian Louis Kutz were married on Jan. 19, 1946, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2010.
Rosella was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include three sons, Larry, Ronald (Barb) and Michael (Mary) Kutz, all of Perryville; a daughter, Janice (Tony) Sweet of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Carissa (Robert) Reed of Annapolis, Maryland; Heather (Jason) Marren of St. Charles, Missouri; Ryan (Amy) Kutz of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mark Kutz of Huntsville, Alabama; a step-grandchild, Monica (Adam) Wolf of Chillicothe, Missouri; 10 great-grandchildren, Braedyn, Addison, Carly, Robert (Chase) Jr., and Cason Reed, Nicholas, Carter and Brady Marren, and Lyla and Abigail Kutz; four step-great-grandchildren, Madison, Chloe, Olivia and Knox Wolf; a sister, Dorothy (Earl) Buchheit of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, Flavian "Pete" Schnurbusch of the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Wallace, Joe Jr., Jim and Kenneth Schnurbusch; three sisters, Mildred Throgmorton, Wilberta Amschler and Delphine Schnurbusch; two stepbrothers, Howard and John Blair, and a stepsister, Ruby Kasten.
Visitation will be held at Young and Sons Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., with the rosary recited at 8:15 a.m. She will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the St. Vincent Educational Foundation.
