The funeral for Rose Adeline Tidwell of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Engelmann will officiate. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Tidwell, 98, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1904, at Patton, Mo., daughter of David and Annie Caroline Cook Robinson. She and William F. Tidwell were married Dec. 13, 1924, at Kennett, Mo. He died Nov. 11, 1988.
Tidwell formerly worked in the housekeeping department at Southeast Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joe Tidwell of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary Allen of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, including Edward Rodgers of Cape Girardeau whom she raised; six great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and three sisters.
