Rose Mary Kjer, 79, of Scott City died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Life Care Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1934, in Illmo to Clarence Louis and Alma Rose Hoffman Jackson.
She and James Donald Kjer were married Aug. 13, 1955.
Rose had worked in housekeeping at Saint Francis Medical Center, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City and a past president and member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6407 of Scott City.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila (Garry) Nation of Scott City and Cindy (Leonard) Jeffries of Festus, Missouri; a brother, Joe (Velma) Jackson of Thebes, Illinois; two sisters, Lillian Blattel of Cape Girardeau and Kitty Harris of Scott City; four grandchildren, Chad Jeffries, Sondra (Johna) Ashby, Ashley (David) Minor and Larry Nation; four great-grandchildren, David and Miley Minor, Jackson and Tanner Ashby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Kathy Radica; two brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, by the Rev. Oliver Clavin. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
