CHARLESTON - Rose H. Bonifield, 90, of Charleston, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993, at the Charleston Manor.
She was Born in Wyatt on July 25, 1902, to John V. and Lee Ann Owens Hutcheson.
On Aug. 6, 1920, she married Goff A. Bonifield, who preceded her in death on April 19, 1982.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Linda Stauffer of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandsons, Charles C. Bonifield of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert Bonifield of Memphis, Tenn., and Paul Bonifield of Miami, Fla. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Barbara B. Bonifield of Counce, Tenn., and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, five sisters, three brothers, and three half brothers.
Bonifield was a resident of Charleston for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, and a worthy matron of Chapter 122 of the Order of Eastern Star in Charleston.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Monday, at the Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, with Brother Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
