Rose Clara Heisserer, 85, 1903 Marietta, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born April 4, 1910, in New Hamburg, daughter of Theon and Ida Menz Grojean. She and Charles A. Heisserer were married Oct. 11, 1932, at New Hamburg. He died July 18, 1944.
Heisserer was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Cathedral Ladies. She was a member of St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary more than 30 years, and had done more than 6,700 hours of volunteer work.
She lived near Kelso most of her life, moving to Cape Girardeau in 1960. She was formerly active in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Survivors include a son, Donald Heisserer of Scott City; four daughters, Anna Drury and Carolyn Bohnert of Cape Girardeau, Mona Nenninger of Jackson, Charlene Alvarado of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Charles Grojean of New Hamburg, Theon Grojean Jr. of Sikeston, Francis Grojean of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Corona Kelpe of Cape Girardeau, Sybilla Cresap of Advance, Rita Staebel of Kelso; 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., and rosary by Scott City KC Council 6420 at 7:30.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery at Kelso.
