PARMA -- Roscoe Borders, 93, of Parma died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at Warsaw Health Care Center in Warsaw.
He was born March 3, 1904, near Zalma, son of Daniel Jacob and Alice Sullivan Borders. He and Margaret Naomi Jackson were married Aug. 15, 1928, at Bloomfield. She died March 7, 1989.
Borders had lived at Parma since 1941, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Ed and Lonnie Borders of Parma, Donald Borders of Lincoln, Cletis Borders of Dexter, Jim Borders of Poplar Bluff; four daughters, Jean White of Poplar Bluff, Marjorie Hamilton of Santa Ana, Calif., Virginia Tutor of Bernie, Celeste Shelby of Parma; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery near Zalma.
