PUXICO, Mo. -- Rosalie Dickey, 72, of Puxico died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Three Rivers Medical Center North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born Nov. 24, 1927, at Fisk, Mo., daughter of Robert L. and Sweetie Wallace. She and Dr. Quincy C. Dickey were married Sept. 6, 1946, at Dexter, Mo.
Formerly of Broseley, Mo., Dickey lived in Overland, Mo., 45 years, moving to Puxico in 1998.
She taught kindergarten at Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis many years. She was a member of Puxico Church of Christ, and a volunteer at an orphanage in Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Teresa Scarbrough of Kansas City, Mo., Deborah Scanga of St. Johns, Mo., Tamera Stewart of Festus, Mo.; two brothers, Bobby Wallace of Puxico, Ronald Wallace of Jefferson City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Bill Chilton and Terry Stockman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Poplar Bluff.
