Rosalie Colyer, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at her home.
She was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Cape Girardeau to Jessie and Myrtle Deevers Burris. She and Wilburn "Wib" Colyer were married Aug. 19, 1944. at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a member of Word of Faith Fellowship Church in Cape Girardeau. She attended Cape Girardeau Central High School, worked at the dress and shoe factories, and loved to collect dolls. Rosalie was a precious gift from God and was the best mom in the world.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy L. (Joe) Cunningham of McClure, Illinois, and Tammy L. (Darrell) Burton of Jackson; two grandchildren, Lee Ann Borgmeyer and Jessica Dwyer; two stepgrandchildren, Heather Jones and Jennifer Pipkin; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Burris.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Word of Faith Fellowship Church.
