ROSA SITZES

SIKESTON -- Rosa L. Sitzes, 79, of Sikeston died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born Sept. 3, 1919, at Sikeston, daughter of William Charlie and Laura Latimer Thompson. She and Hubert E. Sitzes were married Sept. 20, 1936. He died March 23, 1991.

Sitzes was a member of First Assembly of God Church at Morehouse.

Survivors include four sons, Eugene Sitzes of Diehlstadt, James Sitzes of Sycamore, Ill., Douglas and Dwayne Sitzes of Sikeston; two daughters, Darlene Best of Rochelle, Ill., Charlotte Greer of Sikeston; a sister, Louise Day of Poplar Bluff; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, a sister, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick Krietemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
