Rosa Evelyn Holladay, of Wright City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at the age of 84.
She was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to Jacob and Minta White. Rosa was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She married Joe Holladay on Dec. 25, 1952, in Cape Girardeau. They spent 63 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015. She loved flowers and enjoyed arranging them. She was a very creative and artistic person. She also enjoyed baking and sewing. She loved to visit with her neighbors at Oak Pointe, and she also loved to play pinochle and bingo.
Rosa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe; her parents, Jacob and Minta; one sister, Anita Schulte; one brother, Elmo White; and one daughter, Ann White Holladay.
She is survived by her three children, Victoria Stauffer and husband Greg, Lee Cross and husband Don, and Jay Holladay and wife Teresa; nine grandchildren, April Halbert and husband Eric, Ryan Holladay, Kimberly Alexander and husband Spencer, Tyler Holladay, Caleb Holladay, Cole Holladay, David Cross, Brent Stauffer, and Justin Stauffer and wife Cyndie; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Cody; one sister, Jo Marilyn Revelle and husband Don; other relatives and many friends.
