Funeral service for Rosa Nell Hardwick of Festus will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Randy Casey will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Hardwick, 80, died Wednesday, May 28, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

She was born July 31, 1916, in Providence, Ky., daughter of Charlie and Katherine Crowell McNeely Winstead. She and William Clifton Hardwick were married May 18, 1935, in Morganfield, Ky. He died March 30, 1976.

Hardwick lived in Cape Girardeau from 1935-64, then lived in Iowa City, Iowa, and Rochelle, Ill. She had resided in Festus since 1977. She was a member of Second Baptist Church at Festus.

Survivors include two sons, William Hardwick Jr. of Greenbrier, Ark., Roger Hardwick of Festus; five daughters, Norma McKee of Festus, Myrna Linnenkamp of Davenport, Iowa, Joan Massa of Lamar, June Bolen of Hillsboro, Donna Janes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three sisters, Ruby Brown, Roma Merritt and Maudeline Cook, all of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
