UNION CITY, Tenn. -- Ronnie Lee Stewart, 80, of Union City passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare-Martin. The family will receive visitors from noon until the hour of service today at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. ...

UNION CITY, Tenn. -- Ronnie Lee Stewart, 80, of Union City passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare-Martin.

The family will receive visitors from noon until the hour of service today at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hickman City Cemetery at Hickman, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Larry Langford, Tim Langford, Larry Hicks, Dwight Owens, Waylon Owens and Ted Council. Honorary pallbearers will be David Black, Bill Quinton, Bob Hicks, Rick Brown, Allen Nohsey, Charles D. King and Matt Albanese.

He was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Malden, Missouri, son of the late Roy and Ione Bennett Stewart.

Ronnie worked as a manager for Bunge North America Grain Elevator.

On June 25, 2005, he married Mary Lisa Forsythe. She survives.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and attended Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Union City.

Ronnie is survived by his loving spouse, Mary Lisa Forsythe; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dwight Owens of Jackson; his son and daughter-in-law, Lenny and Lisa Stewart of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Light of Fort Walton Beach and Dorothy Lantz of Richmond, Texas; and his brother, J.B. Stewart of Columbia, Tennessee.

He also was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Stroup.
