Ronnie Nanney

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ronnie Lynn Nanney, 54, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003. He was born, Oct. 22, 1949, in Malden, Mo., son of Melvin and Elta Wiseman Nanney.

Mr. Nanney worked for 20 years as a parts manager for Mokita and Crader Equipment. For 35 years, he owned and operated the Night Moves and Total Lectric Funk Factory sound systems, providing entertainment for many charitable events, weddings and other occasions. He was a member of the St. Isidore Council Knights of Columbus 5898, a board member of the VIP and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold.

He was a 1967 graduate of Woodland High School and a 1971 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Melvin and Sibyl Nanney of Marble Hill; one son, Chris Nanney of Pevely, Mo.; two brothers, Donald Nanney of Leopold and Mitchell Nanney of Marble Hill; two stepbrothers, Mark Nall of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mike Nall of Jackson; and three grandchildren, Austin, Caitlin and Christina Nanney.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with a K.C. rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Revs. Bill Huggins and Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, near Marble Hill.
