Ronald Zane Wissmann, 61, of Oak Ridge died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at his home
He was born July 1, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jesse Eugene and Mary McLain Wissmann.
Wissmann was employed by Cape Girardeau Fire Department 30 years, retiring as a captain. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church, VFW Post 3838, Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club and Parents Without Partners.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his mother, Mary McLain Wissmann of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Terri Blake of Cape Girardeau, Susan Quinn of Jackson; three brothers, Paul Wayne Wissmann and wife Margaret of Jackson, Donald Wissman and wife Christine of Old Appleton, Mark Wissmann of Jackson; four grandchildren, Danielle Blake and Taylor Blake of Cape Girardeau, Cody Simmons and Kasey Quinn of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Greer and the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Missouri Honor Guard and VFW Post 3838.
Memorials may be directed to further the education of Zane's grandchildren.
