Ronald C. Roth, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 7, 1940, in St. Louis to Walter and Henrietta Reiter Roth. He and Judith A. Faggetti were married Aug. 19, 1961, in St. Louis.
Ron received a bachelor's degree in education from Missouri University in Columbia and a master's degree in mental health from Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked as a federal probation parole officer for many years.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 0568 and was a fourth-degree Knight. He was also active in Cursillo and Marriage Encounter.
Survivors include a son, Timothy M. Roth of Kannapolis, North Carolina; daughters, Pamela A. (James) Saucier of Gordonville, Karen L. Heath of Memphis, Tennessee, and Susan R. (John) Kippenberger of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m.
Funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at the church, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Ron's cremated remains will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis.
