PERRYVILLE -- Ronald L. Bert, 62, of Perryville died Friday, Nov. 18, 1994, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1932, at Belgique, the son of Theophile J. and Bernice Mattingly Bert. On July 28, 1951, he married Laura S. Bohnert, who survives.
He was a manager of an engine shop and started his own business, Berturbines, a consulting firm for the aviation industry.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the First Assembly of God Church and American Legion Post #133.
Other survivors include five sons, Ronald Bert Jr. of Falls Church, Vir., Richard Bert of Jackson, Brian Bert of St. Louis, Douglas Bert of Kent, England, and Joel Bert of Perryville; a daughter, Cathy Schaaf of Perryville; two brothers, Raymond Bert of Phoeniz, Ariz., and John Bert of Perryville; a sister, Audrey Bert Frentzel of Topeka, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville and from 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Perryville. The Rev. Roger Ely will officiate, and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
