Ronald Wayne Koeppel, 59, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 16, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of Richard L. "Dick" and Alice Faye Schweer Koeppel.

Ron was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in business management from Southeast Missouri State University. Ron worked many years as a company representative marketing products to financial institutions in Southeast Missouri. He also later worked at Bob Evans in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include his mother, Alice Faye Koeppel of Jackson; two brothers, Steve Koeppel of Columbia, Missouri, and Dan (Rita) Koeppel of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Donna (John) Parke of Eureka, Missouri; and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1997.

The visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Rowley officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of the Lutheran Home and Saint Francis Hospice for their compassion and care given to Ron.
