Ronald Edwards, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1942, at Chaffee, Mo., son of William Edgar and Mary M. Humphrey Edwards. He and Jean Messinger were married July 25, 1985, in Houston, Texas.
Edwards lived in Cape Girardeau most of his life. He had worked at CAMCO in Texas and at Columbia Construction in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Edwards of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Dean Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Leon Edwards of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Lorene McCoy of Dexter, Mo., Alice Geiser of St. Louis, Mildred Bullen of Red Bay, Ala., and Wanda Taylor of Puxico, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
There is no visitation.
A private family graveside service will be held.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
