COMMERCE -- Graveside service for Rolfe Edward Eldridge of Oak Ridge, Tenn., will be held at 1 p.m. today in Oak Ridge Memorial Park there.

Eldridge, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, at Farragut Health Care Center in Farragut, Tenn.

He was born July 15, 1911, at Commerce, son of Percy and Elizabeth Marshall Eldridge. He married the former Helen Trippe, who preceded him in death.

Eldridge attended Murray State University in Murray, Ky. He lived in Miami, Fla., 48 years, moving to Oak Ridge in 1993. He was an account executive with Pan American World Airways, retiring in 1976.

He had been a member and president of Genealogical Society of Miami, member of Audubon Society, and active in the Democratic Party. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Emily Block of Oak Ridge, Joan Morrissey of Rye, N.Y.; a son, John Eldridge of Houston, Texas; a sister, Virginia Byrd of Atlantis, Fla., and six grandchildren.
