McCLURE, Ill. -- Roger Leon Rudluff, 71, of McClure died Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. McCLURE, Ill. -- Roger Leon Rudluff, 71, of McClure died Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 20, 1945, in Thebes, Illinois, to Joseph Leon and Hazel Ivy Laird Rudluff. He and Virginia Miller were married April 30, 1965, in McClure. She preceded him in death.

He attended East Cape Baptist Church. He was a tissue donor. He loved to cut wood, and was an avid gun collector and liked going to gun shows. Roger also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his old putt-putt tractor. He also liked to hang out at the Kozy Korner with friends.

Survivors include a son, Roger Lee Rudluff of McClure; a daughter, Tonia Michele (fiance James Carver) Sissom of Jackson; two brothers, Hubert Rudluff and Rusby Rudluff, both of McClure; three sisters, Donna Tarr of Cape Girardeau, Vicky Hill of North Fort Myers, Florida, and Virginia Monahan and Edwardsville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Michele (Andrew) Prater of Jackson, Hunter Sissom of Jackson and Brady Rudluff of Cypress, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Adallyn and Paeton Prater, both of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Alvin and Michael Rudluff; and sister, Cellesta Ralfs.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond McAffee and the Rev. Robert Smithey Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
