TANNER, Mo. -- Rodney Mitchem, 47, died May 31, 2015, at his residence in Tanner.
Born March 15, 1968, in Dexter, Missouri, to Richard Mitchem and the late Norma Watkins, he was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Missouri. On Sept. 10, 1988, in Benton, he married Lisa Mitchem, who survives of the home.
In addition to his father and wife, survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelly Roberds of Millersville, Missouri; two brothers, Richard and Naoko Mitchem of Hawaii and Russell and Lisa Mitchem of Bell City, Missouri; four stepbrothers, David Callow of Mississippi, Shane Callow of Millersville, Ladd Callow of Cape Girardeau and Matt Callow of Jackson; two stepsisters, Cindy Priggel of Oran, Missouri, and Kandy Abner of Marble Hill, Missouri; and one grandchild, Dalton Roberds of Millersville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Watkins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church in Benton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Unity Baptist Church, with Pastor Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.
