SIKESTON -- Funeral for Rodney Jackson of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at West End Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roosevelt Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pullen Cemetery near Bell City.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Jackson, 30, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center from injuries received in a motorcycle-automobile accident near Sikeston.

He was born Jan. 2, 1968, at Bell City, son of Alfred Franklin and Gloria Davis. He and Donna Thompson were married Aug. 6, 1996.

Jackson was employed at Essex Wire Co. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joshua Thompson of the home; two daughters, Melanie Thompson of the home, Aryana Jackson of Sikeston; his father of Oran; his mother of Haywood City; a brother, Demetre Franklin of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Bernice Chavis of Elkhart, Ind., Monique Franklin of Sikeston; and maternal grandfather, David Jackson of Bloomfield.
