ORAN, Mo. -- Robey J. LeGrand, 86, of Oran passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Oran, Missouri, on March 2, 1929, to the late John Phillip and Anna Margaret Schulte LeGrand.
Robey married Etber Bernard on Dec. 29, 1948, and she survives.
Prior to retiring as plant manager for Mid-Florida Mining Company in Oran, he worked for International Hat Company and A.P. Green. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran. For over 12 years, he managed the Oran Little League Yankees, where he coached all four of his sons.
Survivors include his wife, Etber, of the home; three sons, Rodney (Geralyn) LeGrand of St. Charles, Missouri, Michael (Sharon) LeGrand of Maryland Heights, Missouri, and Darren (Tina) LeGrand of St. Peters, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Nancy LeGrand of Fairfax, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Matthew LeGrand, and one sister, Irene LeGrand.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran. Parish prayers with the Rev. David Dohonge will be held at 6 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Revs. David Dohogne and Randy Tochtrop as concelebrants.
Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri.
