Roberta L. Causey, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1924, at Finch, Ark., daughter of John L. and Nannie Sikes Smith. On June 3, 1942, she married Lemis Causey at Blytheville, Ark. He died April 4, 1984...

Roberta L. Causey, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 13, 1924, at Finch, Ark., daughter of John L. and Nannie Sikes Smith.

On June 3, 1942, she married Lemis Causey at Blytheville, Ark. He died April 4, 1984.

She worked as the head of the women's department at the Cape Girardeau Wal-Mart Store, retiring in 1979.

She is survived by three sons, Larry A. Causey of St. Mary, Ottis J. Causey of Bloomsdale, Lloyd D. Causey of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Marita Cheek of Kansas City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A brother and sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kim Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
