ROBERTA COLEMAN

ELCO, Ill. -- Roberta Coleman, 85, of Elco, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 23, 1906 in McClure, Ill, the daughter of Thomas and Annie Sorrels Cantrell.

On May 5, 1926, she married Miles Coleman. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1962.

She was a member of the Elco Methodist Church. She graduated from the McClure Community High School in 1925 and taught school for many years in Alexander County. She was also retired from the Dietary Department at the Anna Mental Health Center.

She is survived by one son, D.M. Coleman, Anaheim, Calif.; two daughters, Salle Ann Townsend, Louisville, Ky., Judith Sue Coleman, Elco, one sister, Alma Cantrell, St. Louis; two grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
