Robert Smith Wilson, 88, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.
He was born May 22, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert Smith and Bessie Lea Harper Wilson. He and Virginia Jean Brennecke were married March 13, 1938, in Cape Girardeau.
Wilson was a 1933 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He was employed 35 years with Missouri Division of Employment Security, where he was assistant director 17 years, and retired in 1979.
Wilson was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jacquelyn Farmer and Catherine Bauer of Jefferson City; a brother, Woodrow Wilson of Santa Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at St. Joseph Home for the Aged from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the home.
Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City is in charge of arrangements.
